243rd Fallen Soldiers Memorial Ride

In memory of the fallen soldiers of the 243rd Engineer Company, a memorial bike/car ride is being planned for September 23rd, 2006. The motorcade will take scenic routes over town and country in Maryland, starting in Downtown Baltimore and stopping at the final resting places of Sergeants Conner and McMullen and Corporals Ceo and Boswell.

The soldiers of the 243rd Engineers invite fellow Guardsmen, Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, Airmen, firefighters and EMTs, their families, and anyone else whose lives were touched by these troops to join us on this day of remembrance.

The event will be a fundraiser for the 4 charities designated by the families of the fallen. More detailed information will be posted soon. A donation of $50 per adult is required for participation in the ride.

An RSVP form will be posted on this site at a later date to gather information on number of people and vehicles attending. Buses will be coordinated for those who wish to participate but do not wish to drive.

Check this page soon for more information and details of the route. Businesses or other parties interested in donating should contact Lieutenant Whong at christopher.whong@us.army.mil
